Direk Wenn's remains arrive at ABS-CBN – #JHedzWorlD




MANILA – The remains of box-office director Wenn Deramas have arrived at the ABS-CBN compound.


The funeral convoy left the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Araneta Avenue at around 9:45 a.m. Saturday and arrived at ABS-CBN around 10 a.m.


Deramas’ remains were welcomed by his friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.


A Mass and necrological service will be held for the award-winning director at the Dolphy Theather at 7:30 p.m.



Deramas, 49, died of cardiac arrest on February 29. He will be laid to rest on Sunday at the Himlayang Pilipino.


Best known as a film and TV director, Deramas started his career as a production assistant, and also worked as a writer and executive producer.


His hit films include the “Ang Tanging Ina” series, “Petrang Kabayo,” “Sisterakas,” “Moron 5 and the Crying Lady,” “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin,” “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy,” “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin” and the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, “Beauty and the Bestie.” – With a report from Robert Mano, dzMM
