TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police and anti-drug operatives destroyed marijuana plants with an estimated value of P39.5 million in Benguet on Wednesday.
Juvenal Azurin, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) director for the Cordilleras, said 120,800 fully grown marijuana plants, 4,000 marijuana seedlings and 122,00 grams of dried marijuana stalks were seized in nine plantations covering 15,600 square meters in Sitios Tanap and Bana in Barangay Tacadang.
No one was arrested during the raid.
PDEA agents also raided a marijuana plantation in a banana farm in Barangay Joaquin de la Cruz in Calamaniugan, Cagayan and uprooted 30 marijuana plants.
